ABOUT

Asha Cecil is a London-based actor, writer, theatre deviser and director. South African, Asha moved to the UK with her industry family in 2002 where she pursued her dreams as an actor and devisor from the outset.
In 2011, Asha graduated from Glamorgan University's Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries with a BA Honors in Drama: Theatre and Media. Practiced in Strasberg, Grotowski, Kantor, Lecoq and Meyerhold techniques, Asha works primarily as a character actor, having performed for theatre and independent films. She has also worked within ensemble pieces, focusing on movement, physical theatre and dance. 
Away from acting, Asha is also a writer, recently completing the fourth season of her debut web series Triple Threat. In addition, Asha is a keen director, having directed several theatre productions and short films. She has also stepped further into photography, where she is currently working on a new series, What Did You Want to Be?

Asha moved to London in 2018 to study with Identity School of Acting where she completed 3 terms. In April, 2019, she returned to France to help choreograph and teach, as well as perform in Femmes Occupees with Sam Boardman-Jacobs. But 2019 largely saw Asha setting up the community project, based around her web series, Triple Threat, which launched on Instagram in March 2020. She has proceeded to complete a further three seasons. Season Three and Four are currently in post-production but will be released March of this year.
